HOT NEWS!
I'm very happy to present the new Imperative Music Agency logo, created by my German friend Johan. Thank you very much again!
This isn't the only change; we've started an important partnership with Legacy Magazine (Germany) and Decibel Magazine (U.S.).
There are other ideas and projects coming up in 2025/2026 that are maturing and coming to fruition. They'll definitely contribute to the Metal Scene, that's all I can say for now (laughs).
And besides Imperative Music, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself:
It all started in 1986, I got Metallica's Master of Puppets when it was released, I was 12 years old, after a few years, I began my adventure in the Underground world, more exclusively from Death Metal (Morbid Angel, Deicide, Carcass) to Black Metal (Emperor, Dark Funeral, Dissection) buying Demo-tapes, Fanzines, LPs. In the 90s I made my own fanzine, then I had a store, I was also a label manager and now, I run Imperative Music Agency since 2007.
We pride on representing emerging acts – We are here to support your band a lot!
My 10 Favorite Albums:
Behemoth - The Shit Ov G-d
Iron Maiden – Powerslave
Metallica – Master of Puppets
Sepultura– Schizophrenia
Entombed – Left Hand Path
Children of Bodom – Follow the Reaper
Epica – Opus Omega
Kreator – Coma of Souls
Amon Amarth – The Great Heathen Army
*Each album brings back good memories for me at the time they were released, but I like the other albums by these bands. The list includes only Metal bands, but in the initial days, I started listening to Kiss, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest and classical music still remains my favorite after Metal, such as Bach, Grieg and the most popular Mozart, Vivaldi.
I always bought the new albums by Slayer, Metallica, and Kreator, but I was always looking for new bands. 90’s, I bought Behemoth's first demo tapes; it's fun to see what they achieved. No music expert, not even Nuclear Blast Records's Markus could sign the band in those days, the band had to go through Pagan Records, Avantgard Music label and others, before getting deserved attention by major label, the lesson is to never give up and improve musically, and have someone (like us) to guide the band in the right path.
In my opinion, there are good new bands these days that deserve more support from the public, media, and labels. Let us help you!
